Ancona is the capital city of the Marche region and it is rich in history, monuments, churches and museums. A diverse city from the other provinces of the region (Macerata, Fermo, Ascoli Piceno, Pesaro Urbino) because it is most of all a port city, and the sea is felt everywhere.

A long walk from the Passetto to Piazza Cavour and down to the port, for example, is a unique experience especially during the 4 feast days in May of Saint Cyriac the patron Saint, with celebrations and stalls of all kinds where you can taste the typical Marche food.
