Potenza Picena is a place where the city, the countryside, the hills and the sea combine with ancient and modern history between culture and agriculture in a succession of undulating hills that reach the fine sandy beaches. It stands on a 237 meters hill just a few kilometers from the Adriatic Sea coast where the beach town Porto Potenza Picena is located.
The Municipality, also including the characteristic rural suburbs St. Girio and Montecanepino, has more than 15,000 inhabitants.
Potenza Picena is a real pearl with many Churches, Monuments, Palaces, Towers and Villas. It is recommended you visit the Collegiate Church, Madonna of Graces Church, St. Francis Church, St. John Church, St. Augustine Church, St. Katherine Church, St. Mary of the Snow Church, the Capuchin Friars Church, St. Thomas Church, the Jesuit College and the Convent of Zoccolant. It is also suggested you see Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the Town Hall, the Podestà Palace (Chief Magistrate of the town), Matteotti Square, the de Mayo Pyramid (a small copy of the one in Buenos Aires), the Galiziano Gateway, the St. Girio Sanctuary, the Civic Tower, the St. Anna Tower and Villa Buonaccorsi.
